"Play with a Purpose"

Meet Our Team

Founder/Director
Mrs. Ashley
I have a lifelong passion for creating early childhood programs, where children can thrive through educational and play experiences. I Graduated from Morgan State University in 2013 with a B.S in Family and Consumer Sciences with a minor in ECE. Upon completion I worked in both Baltimore City in Head start, and Anne Arundel county in Private childcare programs. In 2015 I graduated from Walden University with a M.S in Early Childhood Administration, Management, and Leadership.
Community and family engagement are a large component of my programs which include a literacy summer program at a local community center, and the 3 early childhood programs located throughout Anne Arundel County.
Our mission at Little Scholars Child Development Center is to educate young minds through meaningful experiences and nurturing care that focus not only on the aspect of learning, but on advancement of young children in every aspect of their growing development.

I've been in childcare for over 20 years. I truly love the positive energy & everyday smiles the children bring daily. Being a part of a child's future & giving them a positive feeling towards learning is one accomplishment I am proud of. While I spend less time in the classrooms I am still determined to be sure our program gives the children the best opportunity to learn & grow by making sure our staff is properly trained, and have everything they need to teach!

I have been in childcare for over 12 years and love making a difference in children's lives. I enjoy teaching them their early education and giving them the best care possible. My favorite things to do with them is arts & crafts, teaching songs & dances, and doing science experiments. I believe that children are the living messages to a time we will not see, therefore we should lead them with a purpose.

For the past 5 years I've worked in many different healthcare settings. I chose to come into childcare because I love helping children, and I've learned that a good dedicated teacher can help a child learn and grow. I believe with a great routine, children are better prepared for success. I look forward to helping each child in my care learn, and grow.

I haven't been in childcare for too long, but I have been around children for over a decade. I love to sing & dance with the children, whether it's for learning, expression, or just fun! I have a passion for helping little humans learn & navigate their way through the start of their educational journey. Seeing a child understand a new concept brings joy to my heart.

I chose child care because I'm extremely passionate about the youth. I am a strong believer in "it takes a village." It brings me joy to see children learn through love and play in a safe environment. My passion is to provide each and every child I come to meet with genuine love and care. I take great pride in teaching and seeing the children's progress and growth from my teaching. I know that children grow up and age out of preschool but my hope for every child is to see them learn to be kind and loving, along with learning all of the things they need to prepare them for grade level learning.

I have a passion for helping children. I always look forward to coming in and seeing their little faces light up with joy when I enter the classroom. Working with children teaches you so much more than you would think, I've learned how to model independence for the children. I've also learned patience and I've been able to teach the children how to have patience. I look forward to watching the children grow and move on to the next stage of their lives.

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss. You'll land among the stars. Never stop believing in who you are and always be kind to others is my favorite quote. Thanks to my little sister I became a childcare teacher. I had a big hand in helping my sister grow, I was there for all of her first, and seeing them all made me fall in love with childcare. Being able to teach and prepare children for their future is what I love about being a preschool teacher.
